One very simple objective given for this Edinburgh based office. “Design and create a feature in the reception area that would be a unique focal point for clients visiting the building”. As the reception was mainly white, the idea was to design something to make the area less clinical but still keep the contemporary image.

One of Ambius’ experience consultants, Pauline Freel, opted for a Moss Wall as the focal point, something that is not only in trend but also has that wow factor the client really wanted to achieve. An added benefit of the moss wall was it helped with the acoustics in the reception area and often an echo could be heard in the area.

Stylish container and plant combinations were also used, using the company’s corporate colours to split up the whiteness of the walls but still enforcing the brand image.
