- We operate using a Met Office weather watch solution
- We will visit your site if the Met Office reports show hazardous conditions approaching (typically below 2 or 3°C)
- We will visit your site when it is vacant
- Our gritters will visit overnight, so sites are ready for start of business
- Weather watch customers can request a call out
- Priority will always be to clear access routes
- We offer a national service, ideal if your business has multiple sites/locations
- Snow clearing also available to our gritting customers
- We will give you a unique quotation, the Met Office reports, full breakdown of site visits and a 24 hour hotline number
- We will only charge you per visit

Why does Salt Spreading melt ice?
You might be wondering, 'but how does gritting actually work?' 'How can salt de-ice a surface?'. Well don't worry, we will explain it. The reason salt is used to keep walkways, roads and steps safe is the fact that it lowers the freezing point of the ice and moisture on the grounds surface. Therefore prevents any ice from forming in the future and of course melts any existing ice on the ground. We choose our equipment and gritting tools with the environment in mind, so we can ensure walkways paths and roads are safe without damaging grassed areas, flowers or foliage.
With Ambius' commercial salt spreading service, you don't need to monitor your local weather forecast 24/7 in order to know what to prepare for. With English weather being known for it's continuous changes, it can sometimes be hard to manage the risk of future weather conditions. Depending on where you are based, we can send our team of gritters in the AM to help protect your business for the day.
