Designing an award winning lobby and entrance wasn’t on the cards when Ambius first assessed the area at Peter Vardy Car Dealership. But with wide spaces, great light levels, a large canopy and regular foot traffic, the design provided the essence for the wow factor.
From the gorgeous displays in the large portland stone finish ‘blobs’, live dividers and troughs with trailing plants used to cover the white walls the design had impact. The jungle theme was topped off with 2x 3.5m Podacarpus in a large white pot, and a Song of Jamaica. But most striking was the 11½ metre high Moss Wall which expanded the entire height of the wall canopy.
Complimenting the sense of space, whilst enhancing the “jungle” theme, polished white planters ensured the decor and theme moved through the floor levels. Designed by Pauline Freel, installed by the Ambius Team, this project was created to enhance the opening of the new state of the art head office at Pioneer House in Motherwell for Peter Vardy. As a company with an aim to be The Best Place to Work and The Best Place to Buy, the health and wellbeing of staff was a big priority.
