Marriott Hotel Exterior Landscaping Case Study

The brief
The Marriott Hotel in Sheffield is set in 5 hectares (12 acres) of grounds. As well as lawns, there are some flower beds and shrubberies that had become overgrown. Ambius was asked to revitalize the grounds, especially around the hotel entrance, quickly and with as little additional cost as possible.
The solution
By reusing and rejuvenating as many of the existing shrubs as was feasible, Ambius started by making the beds at the front of the hotel a priority.
Shrubs and large plants were moved from less visible areas to a more prominent position and many of the smaller flowering plants that were already there were used in flower beds elsewhere in the hotel grounds.
The results
The whole front and side of the hotel's gardens have been brought back to life without having to purchase any additional plants. The customer is delighted and has asked Ambius to continue the programme in other parts of the hotel grounds.
