ING Car Office Plants Case Study

The brief

ING Car Lease in the UK runs a fleet of 46,000 vehicles, the vast majority of which are supplied to major blue chip companies. Their offices are based in the heart of the Thames Valley in Bracknell, Berkshire. Now the offices have recently been refurbished in ING's corporate colours, leaving little room for the original, much loved plant displays. A brand new breakout area for the staff to spend valuable team building time has also been created.

The solution

Working with ING's Office Services Co-ordinator, Ambius designed a new interior landscaping scheme which involved the removal of the original 23 plant displays and their replacement with troughs full of colour, including the well known ING orange, to bring life back to the office without taking up too much valuable floor space. A custom-built triangular plant container has been commissioned for the break-out area along with two silk floral creations. Ambius was also able to retain five of the original specimens within the newly-decorated offices.

The results

The result is a resounding success. Whilst the new plants were being installed, ING's staff were asking for advice on plants, touching the plants and giving positive comments. With the light reflecting off the containers they almost look like marble and the customer was left very happy. On the morning the new plants were installed, ING had some visitors who asked which company we were from so they could contact Ambius about our planting ideas for their offices.
