Cornbow Shopping Centre Smells The Difference

Ambius Microfresh enhances the shopping experience

Ambius, the world leader in enhancing buildings through landscaping, scenting and artwork is bringing a breath of fresh air to Cornbow Shopping Centre in Halesowen. Cornbow has installed the Ambius Microfresh ambient scenting system to neutralise the smell of conflicting food and drink aromas in the centre and replace them with a more pleasant fragrance.

Following a £30million redevelopment project, in 2008, including a new ASDA store, footfall in Cornbow has increased considerably. To build on this success the Centre Manager at Cornbow looked to Ambius to enhance the shopping experience for customers through scenting. Ambius already provides and maintains bespoke hanging balcony plants for the centre.

Eve O’Connor of Cornbow shopping centre explains, “During the trial of the Ambius Microfresh solution, we were amazed by how well it solved the problem of food smells in particular areas. We were also impressed by the way the scent travelled to other parts of the centre. Ambius helped us choose the system and a fragrance called ‘Marine Fresh’ that would have the right impact for our space. We can already smell the difference around the centre, enhancing the environment for shoppers and boosting business for retailers.”

Ambius Microfresh behaves like a vapour and doesn't fall to the floor after emission, remaining in the air for up to four hours. Because the diffusion of the scenting particles is controlled, the scenting of the space is 100% uniform and does not leave wet deposits on any surfaces, making it ideal for any retail space.
